How long does almond milk last after it's opened? I just bought some Almond Breeze almond milk. It has an expiration date on the carton, but doesn't state how long it last after opening.

Also, this is my first time trying almond milk. Do you guys no of any better brands or less expensive ones?

it should be printed on the top that it's good for 70=-10 days after you open it.

Almond Breeze is the best brand of almond milk out there taste-wise. Pacifica is cheaper but it doesn't taste better-i don't really like the Pacifica brand.

agreed - something is funny about the pacific brand. i have the little almond milk mini box drinks, and they taste not so good! also there is always a funny sort of consistency in the bottom.

Thanks. I like the Almond Breeze better than the soy milk I had been drinking.

Almond Breeze is the best tasting out there. For the dime or nickel you might save with buying other brands, the taste isn't really worth it.

My boyfriend uses his almond milk until it's gone even if its been longer than 10 days. He's still kicking. I'm not sure what spoils exactly after 10 days.

Yeah, I use mine (Almond Breeze) for a couple weeks after the expiration (refrigerated of course), especially when I know I'll be doing a bunch of baking, pancakes, etc, and I've never had any issues.

But OP, if you are concerned about impending expiration dates, throw it in the freezer in cup-size portions, and pull out as you need it. :-) I freeze soy nog and other "milks" for off-season months, and it is wonderful.

this works for the unsweetened varieties; but if you do this with chocolate or vanilla that's sweetened it gets a nasty consistency!

I would keep soy milk for way past the 7-10 days stated on the carton, but I wasn't sure if I could do the same for almond milk. Thanks for the tips.
